So, every day I've ever went running I've gone out the door & went RIGHT. Every time. EVERY run. All my routes are to the right end of my street.
So here's a thought... What happens if I go left?
Well today, dear Janathoner, I went & found out.
I live in Preston, I believe it was quite an industrial town and I live near a place called Tulketh Mill.
It's now inhabited by Carphone Warehouse, (If you have any beef with them let me know I'll run past & throw a few eggs for you).
But the Mill has obviously shaped the land, as mostly to my left are long terraced roads.
As such it was quite boring, apart from the odd few houses that hadn't drawn their curtains, and I could catch a sneaky peek at their choice of living room decor. (not all of it great)
And I was also jumping out the way of people walking dogs, although I swear one woman was walking a very fluffy cat.
I had to cross atleast 15 roads during my 30 min excursion & run up 2 hills.
I think I'll continue with my step to the riiiiiiight.
